The Internet is filled with stuff to read. Most of them are easy. News is easy. Twitter is easy and Instagram is easy. We consume these empty calories without bringing much value to us.
It's an attempt by "weekend readings from neeto" to bring both diverse and hard topics to the forefront. Here we will be posting articles that are less related to news and are more about the analysis.
The goal here is to "gain knowledge" and not to gain "empty calories". It doesn't mean everything will be hard. The "Hardness" of the topic depends on the person. For someone, Moby-Dick is an enjoyable read while all my attempts to go beyond the first two chapters have failed so far.
I read somewhere that the mere act of reading with the point of view of writing even two lines about the article makes one read more mindfully. I found that to be true. I hope that this change in my behavior in reading (reading with an intent) moves my baseline and that becomes my default way of reading.
Although this newsletter is started by the articles I had collected I'm being helped by my friends at neeto. Slowly they would also be sharing more articles to make it a truly diverse set of articles.
